We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address and authentication identifiers provided through our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Business records you enter: transactions, brand deals, gifted product records, attachments, evidence links, notes, tax settings and export preferences you create inside Cadence.
• Billing information: billing address, tax information, subscription status and payment metadata handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
• Product analytics and device data: page views, feature events, browser and device information, approximate location based on IP address, error reports and session replay data collected through analytics tools such as PostHog.
• Operational data: server logs, IP address and limited request metadata, used to operate, debug and secure the Service.

• To provide, operate and improve the Cadence Service.
• To authenticate you and protect your account.
• To process subscriptions, taxes and billing through Stripe.
• To generate dashboards, summaries, exports and records based on the data you enter.
• To understand product usage, diagnose errors and improve onboarding.
• To respond to support, privacy and security requests.

We use product analytics tools, including PostHog, to understand how people use Cadence, improve onboarding, diagnose errors, measure subscription flows and make the Service better. This may include cookies or similar technologies, page views, feature events, browser and device information, approximate location based on IP address, error reports and session replay. We do not sell personal information.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers we use to operate, secure, improve and bill for Cadence, including:

• Cloudflare (hosting, edge runtime and security)
• Neon (managed Postgres database)
• Clerk (authentication)
• Stripe (billing, subscriptions and tax calculation)
• PostHog (product analytics, error tracking and session replay)

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

Some of our service providers may process or store information outside your province or outside Canada. In those cases, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed. We use service providers only as needed to operate, secure, improve and bill for Cadence.

We retain your business records for as long as your account is active. You can export your records from inside the application. After cancellation, records may remain available for export for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is required for billing, legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before deletion cycles complete.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security. More detail is available on our Security page.

If we become aware of a privacy breach involving personal information, we will assess it and notify affected users and regulators where required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. You can exercise these by emailing us at support@cadencecreator.com. We may need to verify your account before acting on a request.

Cadence is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
